One shot in leg in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police are investigating a shooting in Lincoln on Tuesday night.

About 7:20 p.m., a 25-year-old man was shot once in his right leg shortly near 33rd and Holdrege streets, according to police.

Several people were involved in an argument at the Kwik Shop, the Lincoln Police Department said.

The argument continued in the parking lot of an adjacent apartment complex, where police said the shooting happened.

The victim was taken to a hospital. His injuries are “probably not life-threatening,” police said.

LPD said that the shooter left in a vehicle but that there is no threat to the public.

The investigation is ongoing.
