LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A person was taken into custody Tuesday after an investigation in a northeast Lincoln neighborhood.

Officers were near 63rd Street and Baldwin Avenue as part of an ongoing investigation, the Lincoln Police Department said.

The details of the investigation are currently unknown.

Three nearby schools — Northeast High School, Mickle Middle School and Pershing Elementary School — were placed in secure mode, which means all doors were locked and monitored while teaching continued inside.

The schools have since returned to normal activities, according to Lincoln Public Schools.
