LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A small fire in northwest Lincoln on Tuesday night sent one person to the hospital.

It happened about 9:30 p.m. at the Fairways at Lincoln Apartments near Seventh Street and Fletcher Avenue.

The fire was contained to a dryer, according to Lincoln Fire & Rescue.

But it “smoked up” the apartment, Battalion Chief Jermey Gegg said.

One resident was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries, LFR said.

The blaze caused less than $1,000 in damage.
