One transported with life-threatening injuries after crash southwest of Lincoln

Officials say one person was transported in serious condition after an accident on Highway 15 south of Lincoln.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on the Jefferson-Saline county line.

JCSO said heavy fog “very much caused” the accident between a semi and an SUV.

The driver of the SUV was taken by ambulance to Bryan West in Lincoln with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi was not seriously injured.

JCSO said visibility at the time was limited to about the length of a city block.
