One trapped after part of Omaha Scooter’s building collapses

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A person was injured Thursday when the side of a Scooter’s building in Omaha collapsed.

Around 12:45 p.m., a vehicle crashed into the side of the Scooter’s near 30th Street and Ames Avenue.

The impact caused the side of the building to fall, an Omaha Police Department spokesman said.

A worker inside the building was trapped for about 30 minutes before being rescued, according to police.

One person was taken to the hospital.  The extent of their injuries is unknown.
