Open Harvest hosts LPS supply drive

The school year just started but many kids are need of school supplies so a local business is stepping in.
Open Harvest near 17th and South Streets is holding a school supply drive. They’re asking for items for local elementary students.
"So we have a barrel at the front of the store you can drop off all sorts of things notebooks, pens, pencils, they even take things like Kleenex, personal care items," said Amy Tabor, the general manager Open Harvest.
They’re asking for items like:
•Clorox Wipes
•Hand Sanitizer
•Kleenex Tissues
•Sandwich, Quart, and Gallon Plastic Bags
•Blue Painter ’s Tape
•Stickers
•Glue Sticks
•Sticky Notes
•#2 Ticonderoga Pencils
•Pink Papermate Erasers
•Papermate Flare Pens
•Crayons
•Dry Erase Fine Tip Expo Markers
•College Ruled Notebooks
•Two-Pocket Folders
•Packages of sheet protectors
If you’d like to donate you have until August 31st to do so. All the supplies they collect will be donated to elementary schools near the store.
