Operation Warm Fundraiser

Before you know it, it’s going to be winter.
The Lincoln firefighters union is preparing.
It teamed up with chick–fil–a to help kids stay warm.
Yesterday evening 10 percent of all sales went to operation warm.
Firefighters use the money to buy new coats for children in need.
“The kids are so excited when they get a new coat. And a lot of times this is the first new thing that they have ever had in their life. So they’re very proud of it,” said Jason Love with the Lincoln Firefighters Association.
The union has donated more than 27–hundred coats to Lincoln children since 2014.
This year, deserving students at Belmont and Saratoga Elementary Schools will receive the coats.
