Osceola man found incompetent to stand trial for allegedly shooting at officers
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — An Osceola man accused of shooting at police officers has been declared incompetent to stand trial.
34-year-old Anthony Mattison will remain in the Nebraska Department of Corrections’ custody, until he is deemed competent.
Mattison underwent two previous court-ordered evaluations after being charged with attempted murder and assault on an officer.
Specific details of his case have been sealed, but on September 27th police were called to an officer-involved shooting near the 300 block of South Lincoln Avenue.
Two Hastings officers fired their weapons. No injuries were reported.
