City, County Attorneys offer opportunity to clear outstanding warrants

If you have an outstanding warrant for a misdemeanor you have another chance to get it cleared without going to jail.
On Tuesday November 13th, the Lancaster county attorney and the city’s attorney are teaming up for a warrant night.
You can go to the courthouse at 10:30a.m., 2:30p.m., or between 5pm and 7pm and request your case go to a judge.
The judge will set a new court date and you’ll be released, no money required.
County Attorney Patrick Condon said, “the thing is to try to keep these people from being arrested over Thanksgiving and filling up our jail over the holiday weekend since they’ll sit for a long time. It gives these people a chance to turn themselves in on warrants and alleviate any pressure on jail over the holiday weekend.”
This event follows what Condon says was an extremely successful warrant week in August where more than 100 people cleared outstanding warrants.
