Over 20 pounds of meth, fentanyl pills found in vehicle near York, patrol says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – An Arizona man was arrested Friday after several drugs were found in his vehicle near York, the Nebraska State Patrol says.

Around 3:10 p.m., a trooper pulled over a Nissan Altima for speeding on eastbound Interstate 80 near York.

During the traffic stop, a K9 detected the smell of drugs coming from inside the vehicle, according to the patrol.

Troopers searched the vehicle and found “numerous” packages of suspected fentanyl pills and meth.

The patrol said the pills weighed about 19 pounds, and the meth weighed around 5 pounds.

The driver — 36-year-old Thomas Henry of Williams, Arizona — was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled substances and possession with intent to deliver.
