Lincoln Fire & Rescue, along with Lincoln Police, responded to a call of a vehicle on fire at the Microtel Inn & Suites at N. 25 & Fairfield around 1:15 Tuesday morning.

When LFR got to the scene, they found not one, but two cars, completely engulfed in flames.

The cars were parked just feet from the building on the east side.

LFR was able to extinguish the fire quickly, but not before it caused damage to the exterior of the building.

No one was inside the cars at the time of the fire, and the building did not have to evacuate.

Total damages between the vehicles and the building is estimated at $10,000.

Fire inspectors are working to determine what caused the vehicles to burst into flames.
