Overnight crash in south Lincoln leaves 3 people injured
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Three people were rushed to the hospital after a crash near 27th and Old Cheney early Sunday morning.
According to Lincoln Police, the two-vehicle crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of 27th and Old Cheney Road.
A vehicle was driving eastbound when the driver was struck from behind, police say. That vehicle was pushed across the median and hit a pole.
The suspect vehicle drove off the road and rolled, according to authorities.
All three people involved in the crash were rushed to a local hospital. Police say at least one person was transported in critical condition.
As of Sunday afternoon, no arrests have been made.
LPD says they believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
