Overnight house fire causes around $80,000 in damages

Lincoln Fire and Rescue officials say an electrical fire caused tens of thousands of dollars in damages at a Lincoln home. 

Crews responded to the fire, near NW 2nd and Oregon Trail, around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire in a matter of minutes.

One person was home at the time and got out safely.

The cause was determined to be electrical, and officials say the house suffered $30,000 in damages with an additional $50,000 in damage to contents.
