Overnight rainfall stranded one person

Rainfall overnight Monday and into Tuesday morning left some roads around Lincoln impassible due to flooding.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue had to rescue one person from their car near 70 & O St.

It had stalled as they tried to drive through flood waters caused by Dead Man’s Run rising up over the road. 

The person was not injured, and the flood waters have gone down.

However, as more rain falls, there is a possibility that the water may rise again.

Take extra time during your morning commute and remember, turn around, don’t drown.
