Palmyra business woman helping local dog rescue

A Palmyra business woman is helping out a local dog rescue by renting dresses.

Barb Farup owns Redressed Formals, which rents out new and gently used prom and formal dresses for a fraction of the price of buying a dress.

Farup runs the business out of her Palmyra home where she has over 500 dresses.

This year during prom season Farup is donating a portion of her profits to Good Dog Rescue in Palmyra.

“Ten percent of my profits, ten percent of my gross profits I’m giving back to Good Dog Rescue, that would be all of my profits from January, February, and March,” Farup says.

Good Dog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit based in Palmyra that runs entirely on donations. It currently has over half a dozen dogs available for adoption.

Farup is hoping to help the rescue with costs and get the dogs like Auggie a home. Auggie has been looking for a home for a year and a half.

If you want to rent a dress and support Good Dog Rescue you can make an appointment on the Redressed Formals Facebook page or by clicking here. If you would like to learn more about Good Dog Rescue or adopt Auggie you can visit their website or click here
