Paraeducator at York Elementary School accused of sexually assaulting student

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A paraeducator at York Elementary School is facing felony charges in the sexual assault of a student.

The York County Sheriff’s Office said 23-year-old Scott Velasquez-Lopez was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of two counts of third-degree sexual assault of a child.

The sheriff’s office received a report of the assault on Tuesday from a school administrator.
