Part of Randolph Street to close for the remainder of the month

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Beginning Monday, Randolph Street between South 40th and 48th Streets will close for a street improvement project.
StarTran bus stops in the area will be closed while crews complete the project.
The project is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 2.
The project is part of the Lincoln on the Move street improvement project. Officials say they will mill and pave the road.
Pavement markings and curb ramps will be updated to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
Once the section of Randolph street is complete, a date will be set to continue improvements to the street from South 48th to 56th Streets.
The six-year Lincoln on the Move program is an additional $78 million investment in street infrastructure through 2025.
Signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures.
Travelers are encouraged to seek alternate routes and exercise caution around the work zone.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities remind the public that work dates are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
