Part of Wilderness Park in Lincoln temporarily closed due to controlled burn

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A part of Wilderness Park in Lincoln will be closed Tuesday due to a controlled burn.
Lincoln Parks and Recreation is conducting the burn at noon between the Jamaica North Trail and the BNSF railroad tracks.
Officials said the trail east of marker 68 will be closed until noon Saturday.
People are asked to avoid the area during the controlled burn, which helps manage large areas of native plants and grasses.
