Patrol cruiser, semitrailer hit by passing van in southeast Nebraska
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A Nebraska State Patrol cruiser was struck by a passing van Wednesday night in southeast Nebraska.
A trooper and two tow truck drivers were working on Highway 81 near Hebron, the patrol said.
While they were working, a passing van hit the trooper’s cruiser and the semitrailer they were preparing to tow.
According to the state patrol, the three saw the van coming and were able to run out of the way.
The patrol said the van driver “was a little banged up” but is OK.
The agency said this is a reminder to move over and slow down for emergency vehicles.
