Patrol investigating after police fatally shoot man in western Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was shot and killed Friday morning by the Chadron Police Department, authorities say.

The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the shooting, which happened at a business just west of Chadron.

Police shot a man in a stolen vehicle, according to the patrol.  It’s unknown what led up to the shooting.

The man was taken to Chadron Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is in its early stages, the patrol said.
