Pedestrian dies at hospital after car crash in south Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A pedestrian was killed Friday night after getting hit by a car in south Lincoln.

The crash was reported just before 9:30 p.m. at 10th and High streets.

Sgt. David Lopez with the Lincoln Police Department said a 42-year-old man was trying to cross 10th Street when they were hit by a vehicle.

The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died around 3 a.m., according to LPD.

A Channel 8 reporter saw what appeared to be blood on the street.

Police said there hasn’t been any charges filed yet, and the investigation of the crash is still ongoing.
