Pedestrian hit by vehicle in west Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A pedestrian was injured in a crash in west Lincoln on Thursday night.

It happened around 8:45 p.m. at Sun Valley Boulevard and West O Street.

Police said a 34-year-old man was crouched down in the roadway, outside of the crosswalk, holding a dog.

He was hit by an eastbound Honda Fit driven by a 56-year-old man, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital. His injuries were serious but not life-threatening, police said.

Authorities don’t think alcohol or drugs were a factor.
