Pedestrian killed in crash near Lincoln casino

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pedestrian was killed early Sunday morning in a crash near the Lincoln casino.

The crash happened around 12:55 a.m. near First Street and Denton Road, according to the Lincoln Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old Crete man, who had been hit by an eastbound vehicle on Denton Road.

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.  The victim has not yet been identified.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.  A portion of Denton Road was shut down but has since reopened.
