Peloton says keep kids away from Tread+

NEW YORK (CNN) — Peloton is sending out a warning to its Tread+ Treadmill users. The fitness company says children should stay away from the machine.
The warning comes after a child died in an accident involving a Tread+.
Peloton CEO John Foley sent a letter to all Tread+ owners Thursday saying the company was shocked and saddened by the tragic accident but did not go into detail about what happened.
Foley said the company is “aware of only a small handful of incidents involving the Tread+ where children have been hurt.”
In general, exercise equipment can be particularly dangerous for children. A 2014 US National Institutes of Health study found that 25,000 kids under the age of 10 are injured by exercise equipment each year.
