People’s City Mission serving free meals on Thanksgiving

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN)- The People’s City Mission is serving a full Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. It’s not only for the homeless in Lincoln, but for anyone who would otherwise be alone over the holiday and could use a meal. The non-profit has been hosting the event for over 100 years now.

Pastor Tom Barber says he is excited to welcome the community for fellowship and a meal. “This event really represents the Lincoln community’s heart because this is a donation-based event,” Barber said.

The People’s City Mission expects to serve around 700 meals on Thursday. Doors will open at 11 a.m. Meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
