Perfect fall weather for football Friday and Saturday evenings
After a crisp morning yesterday, we’re more comfortable starting out Friday. Temperatures have been running about 10 degrees warmer than 24 hours ago, in the upper 50s.
Throughout Friday, the range in temperatures won’t be very big as we experience especially cool air for this point in early September.
Highs will only be in the upper 60s when we should be closer to the middle 80s. Winds will pick up a bit more out of the northwest late in the morning and for the afternoon hours.
Our Game of the Week features a rivalry on the south side of town tonight, Lincoln Southeast versus Lincoln Southwest.
After cool conditions throughout Friday, area games will quickly cool off into the 50s for decent hoodie weather past sunset.
And the perfect fall weather rolls into Saturday for Husker football as well. We couldn’t ask for a better forecast especially compared to the last time we tried to play Akron!
Fall-like temperatures remain in the forecast for the upcoming weekend. We’ll be dry both Saturday and Sunday with ample sunshine and light winds.
The next chance of rain looks to come in for Monday, maybe not until late that night. A gradual warm up may be accompanied by some more humidity for another quick shot of summer by the middle of next week.
