PHOTOS: First responders set Nebraska homes on fire to prepare for emergencies

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — First responders intentionally set a couple of Nebraska homes on fire over the weekend, to make sure they’re ready for actual emergencies.

The Louisville Volunteer Fire Department was joined by several other agencies for a controlled training burn on Saturday.

Two homes near Louisville Care Center were set on fire as crews from Avoca, Cedar Creek and Cass County Emergency Management also jumped into action.

You can see intense flames tore through the properties, leaving behind charred remains.

LVFD said the town’s water may be a little discolored for a day or so.
