LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Flooding in a northeast Nebraska town caused multiple delays on Sunday.
In a post on Facebook, Knox County Emergency Management said at least two roads in Bloomfield are covered with water.
Officials are asking the public to avoid 545th Avenue at Highway 84, as well as Bloomfield Airport Road.
Knox County Emergency Management said it is working with the Bloomfield Fire Department to closely monitor the conditions of Little Bazile Creek.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we are asking the public to avoid the creek and surrounding areas today,” Knox County Emergency Management said on Facebook. “This will help ensure the safety of both the community and emergency personnel on site. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”
Officials said the water has started receding, but asks the public to continue to use caution.
