PHOTOS: Semitrailer ignites “multiple times” on busy Omaha road

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Omaha Fire Department battled a semitrailer fire Sunday morning on a busy Omaha road.

Just after 10 a.m., the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media, saying eastbound West Dodge Road was diverted at Skyline Drive due to the fire.

According to the sheriff’s office, the semi has reignited multiple times, causing a delay in reopening the road.

Eastbound traffic is being forced to exit and re-enter Dodge Road at Skyline Drive due to the truck being between the ramps.

According to the sheriff’s office, westbound traffic is not affected at this time.

There is no word on how long crews will be working to clear the road.
