PHOTOS: Significant hail up to softball size pounds northeast Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Some storms splitting in northeast Nebraska had hail up to softball size near O’Neill Monday evening.

That’s hail measuring about four inches in diameter.

Any hail stones larger than 2 inches in diameter are considered significant to weather watchers. Speaking of hail this size, it was no surprise that damage to homes and windshields was reported.

Pictures came streaming in near Inman and Atkinson, and the hail storm moved eastward.

If you’ve got any weather photos to submit, we’d love to see them here.
