Pickup truck crashes into west Lincoln railroad crossing arm

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A pickup truck crashed into a railroad crossing signal Wednesday in west Lincoln.

The crash happened around 11 a.m. near Southwest 15th and West Van Dorn streets.

Police said the 52-year-old driver left the road and crashed into a railroad crossing arm.

He suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to a hospital.  The driver was later found to be under the influence of drugs, LPD said.

The man was ticketed for negligent driving and for driving under the influence of drugs.
