PILGER, Neb. (KLKN)- The Stanton County Sheriff’s office arrested 24-year-old Westin Jindra on felony charges of ‘Theft by Unlawful Taking’ and ‘Prohibited Acts.’

Authorities say the Pilger man allegedly unlawfully took a gooseneck flatbed trailer without permission in rural Stanton County near Howells and then falsified an application at the Stanton County Treasurer’s office to obtain a duplicate title.

The Sheriff’s office says they were recently made aware of the theft and began an investigation. The trailer was tracked and later found to be sold on an online auction. The trailer was located and recovered from the person who unknowingly bought the stolen trailer.
