LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Pioneers Park Nature Center will be holding two outdoor events this weekend.

Night Hike – Friday 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The hike will let people look and listen for wildlife and learn about the night sky.  The program fee is $5 per person, and the registration deadline is Friday.  The Nature Center says space is limited and no drop-in spots are available.

Great Backyard Bird Count – Saturday 9 to 11 a.m.

The bird count is a community science event where people come to watch, count, learn about and celebrate birds.  Participants will meet at the Chet Ager Building to watch the feeders and take a guided hike. A donation of $5 is encouraged, and the registration deadline is Friday.
