With the storms expected Saturday afternoon into the evening, the Storm Prediction Center has most of the state under a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk for some storms to be stronger. Some small hail will be possible along with the threat of gusty, strong winds.

Spc Outlook Impacts And Timing

A line of storms will develop during the peak heating hours of the day. That line of storms will push eastward during the late afternoon into Saturday night. Stormcast shows the potential for parts of that line to bow out, meaning some damaging winds could be our primary concern with this event.

Some lingering showers will be possible on Sunday as this system continues east, ejecting out onto the Plains.
