Police: 63-year-old Lincoln drug dealer caught with meth in I-80 traffic stop

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police say they busted a 63-year-old Lincoln woman with meth, marijuana and pills Friday morning.

About 1:30 a.m., investigators with the Lincoln-Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 80 near Waverly.

An arrest affidavit says the driver, Janine Husar, broke multiple traffic laws.

Investigators said they saw a bag with methamphetamine residue on the front passenger seat.

Then they searched the vehicle and found a plastic-wrapped package of meth on the floorboard and eight baggies of meth in the center console.

The meth weighed 379.4 grams total, or about 13 ounces.

Investigators also found 13 alprazolam pills, according to court documents. Alprazolam is a drug for anxiety and panic disorders that requires a prescription.

Police said there was also 10.7 grams of marijuana in the center console.

The arrest affidavit alleges that Husar was selling large amounts of meth.

Investigators said they found a notebook in the vehicle keeping track of her drug deals.

Husar was charged with possession of more than 140 grams of meth and possession of a controlled substance.

A judge set her bond at $500,000. She would need to pay $50,000 to be released from the Lancaster County Jail.

Husar is due back in court June 27.
