Police asking for help identifying man who attempted to steal woman’s dog

The Lincoln Police Department is looking for a man who they said pulled down a woman’s pants and attempted to steal her dog. 

It happened Tuesday around 7:00 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old woman, was walking her blue-heeler puppy near 16th and G when a man walked up behind her and pulled her leggings down. 

The man then reached for the dog but the dog bit the man and he ran off. 

Police said the woman described the suspect as a homeless white male in his 30’s, about 5’9″, medium build, with long dark hair and no facial hair.
