Police continue search for Jeep involved in break-ins at Lincoln smoke shops
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are still searching for a Jeep involved in break-ins at two Lincoln smoke shops last month.
The first theft was reported at Hemp Boss near 84th Street and Nebraska Parkway.
A man was caught on camera smashing the store’s glass door.
He caused over $1,000 in damage and stole over $2,300 in vape cartridges, CBD products and gummies, police said.
A red Jeep Patriot was seen in security video driving by the store.
A “similar” vehicle backed into Cloud 9 Smoke Shop near 50th Street and Old Cheney Road a few days later, police said.
Police are also looking for a couple who stole clippers from Sally Beauty Supply near 48th and O streets last year.
On Dec. 6, the duo entered the store and attempted to apply for a credit card but were denied, police said.
The clerk walked away briefly, and the man reached behind the counter and stole two professional clippers.
The clippers are worth over $200 each, according to police.
When applying for the credit card, the duo used the names, Jose Zuniga Guzman and Claudia Garcia.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
