Police ID officers who shot at man inside northwest Lincoln Casey’s

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police on Friday identified two officers who shot at a man inside a northwest Lincoln gas station earlier this week.

Officer Brian Gruber and Officer Cale Neelly were placed on administrative leave Tuesday after the shooting.

A Nebraska State Patrol trooper was also involved in the shooting, but Col. John Bolduc said the patrol does not identify troopers involved in shootings.

Police said 45-year-old Michael Glaser was in a shootout with authorities at Casey’s near Northwest 12th Street and West Cornhusker Highway.

He was eventually shot in the chest and taken into custody.  No officers, customers or employees were injured.

Glaser was arraigned Thursday on 10 felony charges, including first-degree false imprisonment and four counts of using a firearm to commit a felony.
