Police identify 21-year-old man killed in southeast Lincoln motorcycle crash

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police have identified the motorcyclist who died Tuesday night after a crash in southeast Lincoln.

A motorcycle, driven by 21-year-old Caleb Long from Minnesota, hit an SUV at 70th Street and Nebraska Parkway around 6 p.m.

Long was thrown from his bike.  He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators shut down southbound 70th Street for several hours.

Long was a senior at Union College, according to a Facebook post.  He was one of 30 students to be accepted into Union College’s physician assistant program.

A prayer vigil is being held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Woods Auditorium, officials said.
