Police investigating assault at north Lincoln gas station, suspect still at large
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The Lincoln Police Department is investigating an assault at a north Lincoln gas station.
Around 9:40 p.m. Sunday, officers were sent to the Super C near 27th and Superior streets for a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they learned that someone tried to run over the store clerk, a 29-year-old Lincoln man, in the parking lot.
The clerk told officers he’d gotten into an argument with a customer driving a 2024 Nissan Altima.
Once outside, the clerk said the male driver made threats of hitting with with the vehicle and started driving toward him.
According to LPD, the man hit the clerk and the car he was standing behind, causing $2,000 in damage.
The clerk complained of leg pain, but did not go to the hospital.
LPD said the driver of the Nissan left the scene before officers arrived.
