Police investigating burglaries at north Lincoln gas station, vape store
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating two north Lincoln burglaries that happened within an hour of each other Thursday morning.
The first burglary was reported around 5:15 a.m. at Lincoln Vapor near 27th Street and Cornhusker Highway.
Security video shows a vehicle driving into the store’s front door, causing about $8,500 in damage, police said.
Several people then got out and stole around $875 in vaping products and cash before taking off.
The second burglary was reported around 6:10 a.m. at the Kwik Shop near 23rd Street and Cornhusker Highway.
Officers found several broken windows and structural damage to the building, suggesting that it had also been hit by a vehicle.
Police said the business had around $10,000 in damage.
The store was also missing around $220 worth of vaping, alcohol and tobacco products, according to police.
Investigators are looking for more security footage from the area.
An investigation into both burglaries is ongoing, and police are unsure if they are connected.
