Police investigating death of 58-year-old woman at south Lincoln home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating the death of a 58-year-old woman at a home in south Lincoln.

On Wednesday around 6:30 p.m., officers were sent to a home near 27th Street and Old Cheney Road on a report of an unconscious woman lying on the ground.

The 58-year-old woman was pronounced dead a few minutes later, police said.  Her identity has not been released.

Crime scene investigators are on the scene collecting evidence, according to police.

An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday.
