Police investigating shots fired in neighborhood near downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating shots that were fired on Sunday evening in a neighborhood near downtown Lincoln.

Around 11:30 p.m., officers were sent to an alley between H and G streets near 18th Street on a report of gunshots.

The caller and other bystanders told officers they heard “multiple gunshots” and saw someone running through the alley.

Police said officers discovered three blank casings in a nearby driveway.
