Police investigating string of construction site thefts in east Lincoln neighborhood

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating a string of construction site thefts in east Lincoln.

The thefts were reported on Monday in the Waterford Estates Neighborhood, just east of 84th and O streets.

Police said $5,000 worth of power tools and equipment, including a Milwaukee drill set and a Craftsman leaf blower were stolen from two homes.

A large portable speaker was also stolen from a third construction site.

Two of the construction sites were unsecured, but the other one was locked, according to police.

The victims believe the tools were stolen over the weekend.
