Police looking for driver who injured boy in hit-and-run near Lincoln middle school
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are still searching for the driver who hit a student in front of Culler Middle School in August.
The 14-year-old boy crossed Vine Street and was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light on Aug. 15, according to police.
The student was taken to a hospital and has since been released.
Investigators think the vehicle, a 2017-19 GMC Acadia Denali, may have damage to the driver’s side headlight.
A witness described the driver as a female in her late 30s, with brown hair and sunglasses.
Police are also searching for a man who ransacked a home near 11th and Van Dorn streets on Oct. 18.
The victim’s mother, who was watching the home at the time, noticed that the cameras went offline.
She went to the house and found it in disarray, with some items missing.
While she was cleaning up the mess, an unknown man walked in.
She snapped a picture of him before he left.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
