Police looking for gunman involved in north Lincoln shooting that injured one

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are searching for the gunman who shot a man in north Lincoln earlier this month.

Around 5 a.m. on Sept. 10, officers were sent near Knox and Portia streets on a report of a shooting.

They found a 47-year-old man who had been shot at least once, the Lincoln Police Department said.

He was taken to a hospital with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.

Police are also looking for a trio who used stolen credit cards to rack up over $8,700 in charges at several Lincoln stores.

On Sept. 7, a staff member at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln reported that her wallet had been stolen from her office.

Her credit cards were used in transactions at Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot and Kohl’s, police said.

Police think three people are involved in the credit card theft.  They were seen driving a newer black Hyundai Santa Fe.

Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
