Police find woman who killed dog in east Lincoln hit-and-run crash
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – UPDATE: The woman who police say killed a dog in a hit-and-run crash in east Lincoln last week has been identified.
She has cooperated, police said, and “this case has been cleared.”
The Lincoln Police Department is searching for a woman who drove off after killing a dog in a crash.
The crash happened near 79th and Vine streets around 6 p.m. Thursday.
Zoi – a 1-year-old golden retriever – ran across the street and was struck by a light-colored Subaru Crosstrek.
The driver, a female, got out briefly before leaving the area.
Police said the Subaru will have some front-end damage on the passenger side of the front bumper.
Police and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office are also continuing their search for 35-year-old Tyler Goodrich.
He was last seen at his home near Southwest 12th and Burnham streets on Friday around 7:45 p.m.
Chief Deputy Ben Houchin said Tuesday that investigators served a search warrant at the home.
“I will not be going into the evidence that was collected during the search warrant,” he said.
