Police search central Nebraska property in connection with Lincoln woman’s disappearance

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Police say they have a lead in the search for a missing Lincoln woman.

The Lincoln Police Department said Tuesday that investigators are focusing on a property in Overton in the search for 31-year-old Jerica Hamre. Overton is a village about 10 miles east of Lexington.

Police said Hamre, who was reported missing on July 3, may have last been in that general area.

Investigators began searching the Overton property on Monday and will continue through Tuesday.

The Nebraska State Patrol and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission are assisting, and several dogs are being used in the search.
