Police searching for man accused of assaulting woman at Kearney home

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are looking for a man who seriously injured a woman Wednesday in an assault at a home in Kearney.

The Kearney Police Department said Justin Hadenfeldt, 37, entered a home and attacked a woman, leaving her unconscious with serious injuries.

The woman’s two young children were in the house at the time of the assault, police said.

Hadenfeldt left the area before officers arrived.  He was last known to be driving a black Chevy Silverado with Nebraska license plate number 9-2561R.

The woman is being treated at a local hospital, police said.

Officials have since issued an arrest warrant for Hadenfeldt for first-degree assault, strangulation and burglary.
