Police seek thief who stole iPhone at Bánhwich Café in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are on the lookout for a man who stole an iPhone at a north Lincoln restaurant earlier this year.
The theft happened on Feb. 29 at Bánhwich Café near 27th and Vine streets when an employee put the store’s iPhone on a stool.
Security video captured a man sitting on the stool and putting the phone into his jacket, according to police.
Investigators are also seeking a woman involved in a series of larcenies at CVS and Walgreens stores in Lincoln in February.
On Feb. 21, a woman went into CVS on 56th and Nebraska Parkway and tried paying for “numerous” items using an app on her phone.
But when the employee helping her turned away, she took off with the items, which were unpaid for, police said.
She left in a dark-colored sedan with a rear license plate that was loose and hanging sideways, according to police.
Two other Walgreens stores in Lincoln also reported similar thefts, both featuring a woman taking off in a dark-colored sedan.
Investigators are unsure if it’s the same person for all three cases, but the thief has “significant” arm tattoos in security video from all three stores.
Anyone with information on either case is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
